1. Installation Methods (18 hrs: 0 theory / 18 practical)
Prerequisites: Level 1 Reportable 4, Level 3 Reportable 5. Co-requisite: Level 4 Reportable 2

General Learning Outcome: Upon successful completion, the apprentice is able to connect and test rotating machines, examine the characteristics of different wiring configurations, and control both DC and AC motors with manual and magnetic starters.
2. Codes and Standards 4 (24 hrs: 24 theory / 0 practical)

General Learning Outcome: Upon successful completion, the apprentice is able to interpret and apply OEC regulations specific to the installation of equipment in hazardous locations, and to the general installation methods for motors and generators.
3. Control Systems (21 hrs: 9 theory / 12 practical)

General Learning Outcome: Upon successful completion, the apprentice is able to plan, layout, and connect controllers for automated lighting systems. (Covers DMX-512 protocol, RS-485 architecture, cabling, and daisy-chaining lighting control devices.)
4. Lighting Technology 3 (24 hrs: 8 theory / 16 practical)

General Learning Outcome: Upon successful completion, the apprentice is able to connect lighting equipment to control luminaires with manual and computerized controllers, hang and trim instruments, and verify the system.
5. Electrical Theory 4 (33 hrs: 33 theory / 0 practical)
